Another raving review for Sonic Speed Ball, and some great feedback too! We really appreciate the time and effort they put into such a thorough and balanced review – thank you Gamezebo! Quotes from the article:

“Sonic Speed Ball is a really great multiplayer title. I couldn’t believe how well the concept worked. Games were really fun and exciting.”

“The control is extremely accurate. Using the different strokes actually changes the way the ball is returned.”

“…the core experience of what’s there is very intriguing, and a real blast to play.”

And we totally agree with their feedback: “update that allows instant rematches and the ability to play longer games”. In fact, these 2 things are on our top 5 list of planned updates… stay tuned!

Sonic Speed Ball is a new two-player air pong gesture game based on sound instead of sight. Your iPhone or iPod Touch becomes your racket and you swing when the ball sounds closest to you.

Introducing Sonic Speed Ball the new two-player air pong gesture game based on sound instead of sight. Your iPhone or iPod Touch becomes your racket and you swing when the ball sounds closest to you. The game recognizes different swing gestures – in fact that’s half the fun. Use a forehand or backhand to volley, an overhand for a speedball or an under hand for a sneaky slow ball. Swing too early or too late and you’ll miss completely. It takes seven points to win a game, and there are three game speed levels to choose from. So you might look a little ridiculous swinging your phone at “nothing”, but you’ll be having a blast playing this futuristic tennis game wherever you want.

Available now at the App Store http://itunes.com/app/sonicspeedball for a special introductory price of 99 cents (regularly $1.99).

“It started out as an experiment to see what it would feel like to volley a completely invisible ball…” said David King Landrith, Executive Technical Director of Theoretical Universe. “As it turns out – it was fun, and given the right type of gaming logic it becomes a pretty unique and challenging experience.”

The game is best experienced between two players and uses BluetoothTM to form a connection between you and your opponent – so you can play anywhere you want, like outside. Just make sure there are no walls between you and you are no more than 25 feet apart. The game also offers a single player mode if you want to practice or play solo.
